After almost 13 years in business, I am so excited to show off our new website, and more importantly, share our expanded service offerings!
How TaskAlexis Was Started
For those of you who don’t know, I started TaskAlexis as an eBay consignment store, after my mother opened a similar business years prior and taught me the ropes. I was so fascinated by the power of online retail, and immediately started helping my friends sell their designer purses, vintage fashions and accessories. Before I knew it, TaskAlexis was born, and business was growing!
Over a decade later, with two children, a fantastic husband, and a few apartments later, I feel smarter, stronger and savvier than ever before. These life events have certainly changed my perspective on things, but also helped me understand all day-to-day trials and tribulations that everyone else is juggling in the City.
The Next Chapter for TaskAlexis
As my business has grown, I’ve had the opportunity to help hundreds of families. The more people I helped through TaskAlexis with selling their items, the more families I met, and the more I saw into different lifestyles and the diverse needs every family has. As I was meeting more and more people, I was getting asked for additional help – for help finding things, for help vetting services, for simple recommendations from other mothers around the city.
After receiving all of these daily inquiries for advice and suggestions, I realized that despite our differences, how much every woman I know has in common, and how we all can sometimes struggle to manage the never-ending, and always expanding, list of to-dos and tasks on our “lists.” Big or small, vital or trivial, there just always seemed to be something that I could help my clients with.
This realization inspired me to expand my service offerings to help more people.

Now, in addition to selling items for clients on eBay and other online storefronts, I am helping clients find unique, hard-to-find, and discontinued items as well. Additionally, I am offering personalized gifting, party & event planning, and professional service recommendations.
